She drifted away peacefully last night, surrounded by her family. We have not yet told Q and The Boy and are trying to figure out how to do that. I haven't yet figured out how to tell myself.
That's about all I can bring myself to say right now.

All the people that came in contact with Van knew what a beautiful, kind person she was.
Remember that death is a part of life too. Kids are stronger than we know and honesty is to be leaned on in times like this. Tears help the heart heal and kids need the opportunity to express their loss just as much as we old timers who have dealt with passing generations of loved ones do and did. A few tears for Van.
